Who doesn't love a good parlor game? Thishappyplaceblog.com and Mouseonthemind.com have transformed the classic "Kill - Boff - Marry" to a more Disney friendly version where bloggers are tasked with matching a part of the parks with these three criteria-- slightly modifying the most risque option for obvious reasons.
This edition of Kill, Refurb, Marry takes on Disney Villains. KILL
Villains should always be memorable. Which is why my nominee for this category is the very forgettable Governor Ratcliffe from Pocahontas. I know, he's based on historical what-not, but I still don't remember a thing about him-- except that he had a dog and he liked gold a whole bunch.
He had a song or two in Pocahontas... about gold. Yawn. NEXT!
REFURB
We all know how Frozen's Anna and Hans worked out. With his hipster sideburns and doe-eyed gaze, who would have thought he would turn out to be such a douchebag? Nice twist Disney. But look at him. He has the face you would trust, right? If I could refurb I would add a touch more bad boy to Hans-- I mean he's already got the "oh hey Ted Bundy I didn't see that one coming" down solid.
I'm thinking we add more of that twinkle in his eye that reminds you why you're walk-of-shaming at 7:30AM on a Tuesday.
MARRY
This one was easy. Can we just say that we loved Gaston before loving Gaston was a thing? Before the Buzzfeed clips that showed off his push up skills and little girls telling him off. Before the line for Gaston rivaled Mickey Mouse. We fixed our lipstick and fluffed our hair before we met him (no seriously, we did). He's perfect... and he knows it.
"smile like you're married to me" -- Gaston
p.s. don't ever challenge Gaston to a push-up contest. You will totally lose.

This edition of Kill, Refurb, Marry takes on transportation.
KILL - This is an easy one. Just the sound of a Disney bus lowering to let on three scooters with a line of tired kids 50 people deep makes me want to hurt someone. Lets not even discuss the fact that the double stroller won't close, the bags at the bottom of the stroller need to be carried, as does the 3-year old who just. can't. walk. anymore.
No amount of soothing Disney music can make me like the bus system. No matter which way you go-- park-to-resort or resort-to-park -- your stress level will rise. Case in point, this Disney bus fight captured on cell phone (note, bus drivers need a raise). KILL IT before we kill each other.
Visiting my 3-year old in Disney bus line prison.
REFURB - How many times have you been on the monorail and said to yourself, "if it only went to [insert park or resort that is not already on the monorail line]? If you are me, which I am, you have said it every time you have gone to WDW. I get it, money. Everything costs coin and the monorail is anything but a reliable system. It's more iconic than practical but I would love to see the planners at WDW think about some method of rail that could augment the monorail system.
Next Stop - The Future
MARRY - I have a love affair with Disney boats. There is nothing more pleasant than a leisurely boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge dock to the Magic Kingdom. It's civilized and if I could just ride around on the boat with a cocktail while chatting with the retiree captain, I would. I'm pretty sure when I retire I will be finding a way to make this my part time job. I found the boat ride below on YouTube. Thanks to the fellow interweber who captured this moment of zen. Can't you just feel the Bay Lake breeze?
Well there you have it. Out transportation picks for this Kill, Refurb, Marry. Agree? Disagree? Let us know. We would love to hear from you.
My occupation as a preschool teacher leaves me little time or inclination to get my nails done. With the amount of nose wiping, mouth cleaning and hand washing I do on a daily basis my fresh mani wouldn't last a day. I do however LOVE a good pedicure and I try to treat my fingers before heading on a Disney vacation.
I have long admired the elaborate Disney designed digits on the interweb and since Davina and I are makeup lovers, I figured I'd set out to find us some easy Disney nail art, that we could do ourselves before our next big trip.
First stop is Etsy. Here I found a whole slew of choices and I realized that I've been missing out for a long time. Six pages of Disney dedicated nail designs! Here are a few of our faves from a fellow Boston girl, GuavaJellie. That she is from Boston makes them even bettah'-- excuse us while we go and pahk' the cah'.
The directions on Etsy seem pretty easy and concise. I reached out to the seller/designer Melissa for permission to feature her and she was nice enough to send us a set for review and to use ourselves! Once we get them look for our review, and perhaps even a giveaway. You know we love a good giveaway.
What do you think? Any special beauty routines you do before hitting up WDW or do you keep it natural? Let us know!
If you've read our posts before then you know that we completed our first WDW half marathon this year and have signed up for the 2015 as well. Our first half was an annual girls trip so we went all out. A room at the Contemporary with easy monorail access and a few other perks we enjoy as two girls out and about on their own. Our next one we are bringing our husbands with us. One is running , the other has no clue he's even going - it's my husband who's clueless... it's best left that way for a bit. Disney in November at the Wilderness Lodge then again in January is paradise for me, but not so much for him.
Anyways, we decided to be a bit more practical this trip since we needed two rooms and booked at Port Orleans Riverside for the first time. Actually it's our first time staying at any moderate on Disney property at all and we wanted to know your thoughts. We're not so worried about the transportation to the race as we were last time. As nervous first timers we set the alarm mega early and got there with so much time to spare, we could have gone back to our room for a nap , then returned. I have no doubt that all will go well, but its a resort we are unfamiliar with as far as rooms, food and everything in between. We're hoping all of you can give us your input , do's and don'ts and anything else you find useful. It looks like a beautiful spot and we are super excited to try it!
I'll start by saying that this is a long overdue post, but seemed appropriate now . 2014 was the year we ran the Disney Half Marathon for the first time ever at the age of 41. For a time training we did think we might die...but surprise ! We did not. Watching all the tweets from the 2013 marathon made us envious and planted a seed that maybe, just maybe, we could do this. We bought the right sneakers , set our alarms for early morning runs and started. There were times when we both thought we had made a mistake signing up, but we kept on cruising all the way until January 2014.
While we are far from fast and by no means "athletes" we crossed the finish line and cried and cried and cried. I wasn't sure if we'd return the following year previous to crossing, but as soon as I did cross I knew we'd be back. It was exhilarating, empowering , fun and not too shabby for two old ladies who a year before couldn't run a mile. So just this week as soon as it was open we registered for the 2015 half marathon. It sold out in a day, but if you're ever thinking you want to try one, Disney is it.
Aside of the elite runners who were finishing when we were huffing away at mile 4, we were surrounded by people like us with a love of all things Disney, taking walk breaks, marveling at running down main street in the dark while amazing people with some of the best signs ever cheered you on. My personal favorite " worst parade ever".
Starting line chaos.
3 a.m wake up call means no makeup. I wanted to wear my fake eyelashes
Slow and steady was our motto and it served us well. Next year I'd like to amp it up a bit but for us its really about the experience and setting goals for yourself. The whole weekend was amazing, the weather was perfect and we felt like we were right where we were supposed to be. Dressed in Ariel colors , but not quite brave enough to wear a full costume, we did see many that made us jealous. The stepsisters are on our radar for next year. Any suggestions?
Not one to miss a girls weekend Stitch displays my medal proudly. He slept the whole race
Lashes on ! Celebratory drinks at California Grill. A Best friends tradition
We know there are loads of people who obsess about Run Disney out there and blog about it frequently. We consider ourselves two average girls who decided to start running so we could run at Disney World. In the process it turned into much more and for all those who thought we'd quit at mile 10...in your face. WE RAN A HALF MARATHON!!
Well it happened. Yesterday my nerd dreams came true and we were invited to test MyMagic+ during our December mini-trip to Walt Disney World. We will only be there one day before we head out on the cruise so it's not much of a test. But it doesn't matter, because see below and how could we say no?
So, set up. I know more about database management than I care to and my husband is a web usability guru. Between the two of us, we were bound to have loads of opinions. While the cool part are the bands you wear during the trip, the meat of this program is what we in the biz call "Identity Management". Basically, how does Disney identity check you and make sure you are who you say you are without sacrificing ease of use.
Quick answer, they can't. Well, not easily. There is a reason they are beta testing this with a smaller population to start and I began my experience with a 45 minute phone call with a VERY apologetic internet rep from Disney.
I have no clue how their data is organized. But I would venture a guess, there are loads of systems (DVC, Annual Passholders, Regular Disney, Cruise Line, etc) and they don't always play nice with each other. In my MyMagic+ profile, my son Grayson was shown twice. The version going on this trip was not the version with the park ticket associated. Left this way, fake Grayson would have received the band leaving real Grayson behind. Fake Grayson would not be able to make any FastPass+ reservations and would likely have been the only one using real Grayson's hard ticket. In other words, blech.
But the interweb folks at Disney were lovely and figured out a bandaid. But not without leaving fake Grayson as a semi-permanent part of the family....
NOTGraysonNOT is NOT my son
I now have two Grayson's because I assume Disney makes it very difficult to delete any records. They like their data and are known for their data but sometimes it's bad data. Hence NOTGraysonNOT was born.
Bugs like this are not unusual for a project of this size and scope. It's a personalized experience that is bound to be bumpy. But can I see your average web user navigating these potential complications? Depends on how cool the perks are, and that remains to be seen.
You know you must love Disney World if you sign up to run 13.1 miles just so you can get a trip there out of it. Yes, that's right, Davina and I both signed up to run the WDW half marathon in January and let me say that we are not runners. At least we weren't runners until now.
Every January our twitter feed blows up with runners sharing their experiences and pictures of all the activities that take place with marathon weekend. We get jealous and proclaim " next year we ARE running". Then we forget , eat some pie and complain more the following January. Well this past year we decided it was really time and we did it for realz. We signed up the day it was announced, booked our hotel - The Contemporary for easy race access- booked airfare, and the hardest part...started running.
all we really want is the medal
I wish I could say we were just like Forrest and ran with ease yelling " I just felt like run-ning" but I'd be a big liar. It's hard, laborious, sweaty work and not something our 40 year old bodies are used too . But we still run on and come January will do the best that we can. It forced us to plan our next Disney girls weekend and also challenged us to do something that we never though we'd do. Disney has that way of motivating you in strange ways , but it worked and this January we hope you're looking for us in your twitter feed. We will most likely come in dead last and our fear of the sweepers will have us looking over our shoulder saying " Damn girl pick it up", but we're finally doing it.
Are we the only two who thought Test Track was totally fine the way it was? I'm all for refurbs and clean ups, but there's certain things that should just be left alone. For us, it was Test Track.
Maybe it's the great memories of our rides together just the two of us or the fact that we really enjoyed listening to John Michael Higgins. While I ( Karen) have not yet ridden the new version my other half (Davina) has and a sampling of our texts resembled something like this
Davina- I just rode Test Track and it's different
Me- How different ?
Davina- TOTALLY different
Me- Are there still German blocks?
Davina- No...and it's so sad
German Blocks we will never forget you
This is our farewell to you old Test Track. We never waited 3 hours in line for you, loved the cold chamber and screamed like assholes every time that damn truck came at us with it's horn blasting. If you don't believe us, check out our previous post where we show you on video just how much fun we had.
Auf Wiedersehen Test Track. We kiss you on each cheek and hope for future girls trip where we can make new Tron like memories with you.
My husband loves Castaway Cay. Every time we visit he threatens to remain on the island like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. He has worked it out that he would creep out to be fed when the cruise ship docks and the passengers would think he is some charming Disney character (complete with frayed shorts, a Wilson soccer ball, and crazy scraggly beard). His love for the island is not hard to understand. It is a gorgeous paradise-- set up solely for the enjoyment of the visiting Disney cruise. Who wouldn't love their own island for the day?
We have visited Castaway Cay four times now and have our own methods to maximize our stay. As ports go, it is a long day, but the time at shore goes quickly. So like any good Disney fan knows, you want to have a plan. Here are our tips for making the most on Disney's tropical paradise.
Tip #1: Weather is a fickle beast. Just prepare yourselves for the possibility that the boat cannot dock. If you have ever seen a cruise ship pull into port it is a sloooow process involving lots of ropes and pulling. There are times when the sea is too choppy or the winds are too high. They will try, but it can't always happen. I heard the cruise before ours was unable to dock so they just remained out at sea. I am sure that there were loads of angry passengers that day. If you hear its a possibility (keep an ear out for the captain's announcement the night before), it might be a good time to book an activity on the boat as a back up.
I would hate to be that one guy who screws up.
Tip #2: To island massage or not to island massage? I am of two minds with this. A massage with the beach steps away is a glorious thing. But it does take a big chunk out of your island time. It is also worth noting that you will be slathered with oil. Post-massage a complete wash down is needed to avoid exploding into flames. On the last trip I booked a massage for early in the day (9AM) on the boat. The Senses spa is lovely and generally pretty quiet on port days. The timing worked out well with the boat massage and I was on the beach by 10:30.
Tip #3: Consider the island it's own shore excursion. We love chilling on the island so much that we generally don't entertain the idea of shore excursions. But they have them if you are interested. Boat tours, jet skis, parasailing, and more. If you are interested in booking you can (and should) sign up ahead of time online. It should be noted that snorkel gear and float tubes rentals can be set up ahead of time but it's just as easy to get them in person that day. One thing to keep an eye out for, if you are lucky enough to have a cruise that docks on Castaway Cay for two days, they sometimes have deals on rentals. The deal below was for 75% off the same rental for the second day. Every little bit counts, right?
Port Adventures. Gingerbread houses not included.
Tip #4: Relax, there are plenty of lounge chairs. You don't need to be the first family off the boat. There are three beaches on Castaway Cay. The family beach is the largest and the closest to the boat as well as the main BBQ spot for lunch. By closest I mean a 3 minute ride via tram or a 10 minute walk. The second is the beach adjacent to Pelican Plunge, the other BBQ spot as well as the kids spray park. Smaller, but a great place to set up camp if you think repeat trips on Pelican Plunge are on the agenda. And finally, Serenity Bay, the adults beach that I have not seen in person since my Honeymoon.
Chairs and more chairs as far as the eye can see
I watched people run off the boat in a panic to claim their spot for the day. Honestly, it's not that big a deal. It's not like finding seating by the pool (which can get a little competitive). If you are on the island by 10:30 you will get a chair. AND, you can move the chairs. So feel free to take the little chairs (don't be that guy and lug the lounge chairs, that's just rude) down to the waters edge and stick your feet in. The man with the drink tray will still find you. Promise.
Tip #5: Don't hate on the cabana renters. They are just cooler than you so stop staring at them. Cabanas are the bain of my existence. I am not going to lie, I want a cabana for our next cruise but I doubt I will ever get one. Lets talk odds. There are a handful of cabanas. Maybe 10-20 total? And there are thousands of people on the boat. While I am a silver Castaway Club member (which just means I have been on more than one Disney boat ride) there are those people with gold and platinum status. Those folks get to book their shore excursions ahead of you. Those people are competing with each other for the cabanas which means that no cabana for casual cruisers. (side note: Cabanas are $400 a day, which makes it almost ok that we can't get one but if you have any tips on how we can snag one, I am all ears.)
As a final note, here is our own 2-minute tour of Castaway Cay. Yes that is my husband floating in the tube plotting how to stay on the island... enjoy.
If you have any good Castaway Cay tips, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below. We would love to hear from you!
I am NOT getting married , but if I were I know three things to be true.
1. It would be at Disney
2. I would wear a Cinderella dress
3. I would still choose the man I'm married to now. I kinda like him
Hot for the holiday season Alfred Angelo debuted it's Diamond Runway show on YouTube today so you know we had to check it out. The gowns are available now through March. Look for special trunk shows at Alfred Angelo Signature stores and their partner stores. Lord above they even have a " Glass Slipper " blue fabric. If a girls gonna get married at Disney why not go all out?
Speaking of Disney be looking out for some fun Cruise posts and tweets as Davina prepares for her big birthday , Christmas cruise! And the answer is yes...I am jealous.
Disney announced the new campaign for 2013 this week calling it "Limited Time Magic" and it seems to have either delighted people or pissed them off and made them sarcastic. I'll be straightforward with you when I say that I never have a problem with anything Disney does. Refurbs that disrupt my riding time when I'm there may depress me, but that's about it.
" Limited Time Magic" includes an " Unleash The Villains" jam on Friday the 13th which I'd give anything to attend with my villain loving daughter. A " Pirate Week" which can only mean more Captain Jack. More of the Captain is never a bad thing. Sign me up for that week as well. The week long Valentines day sounds genius to me. I am not a fan of Valentines day in general, but would sure as hell celebrate my love all week long if it was at Disney. " Long Lost Friends" week should , for me , include Mortimer. My kids used to be obsessed with watching this old cartoon with him in it, and just his pants alone are fantastic.
I'm ready for some fun new things next year WDW. Just save me a seat next to Captain Jack and Mortimer.
So if you've been following us on twitter - and you really SHOULD be- then you know that Davina is out making memories at Disney this week while I stay behind and feel forlorn. Her updates have been amazing, but it's always so much better to be there with her.
This prompted me last night to do two things ( after I pouted on the couch to my husband about how we should be there too. It was unsuccessful )
First I poured my ghetto crystal light and served it on a Disney Parks napkin .
Don't hate
Next I tried to make it seem like I was part of the action by listening to my favorite Channel 19 Disney music that I found long ago on youtube. I listen to this so much the man should really be at a million views by now.
And lastly, I watched a video Davina and I made a few years ago on a girls trip touring the Yacht Club at night. Appropriate since she's at the Beach Club this week.
Did it make me feel any better? Not really..but I'm sharing it with you in case you've got the Disney blues
too. sigh......
~ Karen
Check out Bodylogicmd for a chance to win a trip. I am!!
You've seen my Bibbidi Bobbidi Bust Out Your Wallet post so you know I'm a fan of the BBB and all it's glittery goodness. I'm also a fan of fantastic big red wigs, so if you're heading to Disney anytime soon and looking for a new look check it out. The Merida " Brave" makeover.
The "Merida" package includes "a fiery and curly "Merida"wig, shimmering makeup, face gems, princess sash, and princess tote bag." The cost of the package is $54.95 plus tax, but for $5 more, a princess may also have her nails polished. The "Merida" costume and crown may also be purchased at an additional cost. If I were you, I'd bring my own costume since the fairy Godmothers have a tendency to overcharge for frocks.
If anyone has already done this makeover PLEASE send us pictures. As two redheads we love to see a fellow red get the spotlight. It ends soon for some unknown reason so hurry up!
Of all the Disney Parks, sadly I can say I've only been to one. WDW consumes me and keeps me from trying others...well that and the airfare prices to try other far away places. Looking at pictures of all the different castles though is a favorite hobby and like many of you my breath was taken away by the Disneyland Paris castle. It truly looks amazing
Right now the Disney Gallery has an exhibit featuring the famous castles of Disney Parks and films. The centerpiece is a replica of the Paris Castle that will make you ooh and ahh.
See?...OOH...AHH
They also have wall art showing how the castle fits into the landscape and what's inside each of them. This is one exhibit I'd love to see since the castles fascinate me. If you are heading to Disneyland anytime soon make sure you hit this up.Small replicas are also available to buy but now I just need a shrink ray invented so I can live in them.
Amazing. Me thinks the BF's may need a Parisian ladies trip
When we heard the news that the California Grill would be shutting their doors for a few months, we had a wistful moment. The California Grill is where I (Davina) had my wedding reception (the Napa room). It's where Karen and I planned my wedding (yes, my husband was involved, but you know how it is), it's where we went with our husbands for a wine-infused one-year anniversary, and it was the site of a follow-up girls trip.
In short, the Cali Grill (we are on nickname terms) is special to us for so many reasons. To think they may be changing it even slightly makes us nervous. We like it just. the. way. it. is.
Well, "just the way it is" with a few suggested modifications. So if you are listening California Grill refurb team, here are our top items we would like to see changed and what we would like untouched.
Bar Seats. No better place to chill before Wishes starts. Well, top of Bay Lake is a
close second but that's another post. All I ask is that you keep the bar patrons limited so it
doesn't get overcrowded, K?
No girl wants to stand with her drink in hand. We're lazy like that
Lighting. I should not be able to look across the table and
see Karen's wine-teeth. She should not be able to see mine. So lets dim
it down, shall we? Some lovely fuzzy lighting that makes everyone look
Barbara Walters airbrushed would be best. The last visit was like high def meets florescent
office lighting at its worst. Ug.
See those filthy glasses and wine teeth? We do to and it's not enjoyable. Dim the lights.
Whatever this is. Please don't take this off the menu. I will cry.
Don't ever change this.
Large wine glasses with a generous pour. Glug. Glug.
Classy
Dress Code. It burns my eyes to see jean shorts and t-shirts
in a place like this. I get it, Disney is casual but that does not mean
you just give up and throw on your "I'm with stupid" t-shirt. There
should be some dress code aside of "no shirt, no service".
Dress Code = Mouse ears optional.
Private Dining. Every Disney fan needs to experience the California Grill private dining. Our suggestion, plan your next family reunion in the Napa Room. It's like you have the whole place to yourself.
Keep the private room. Best.wedding dinner.ever. And look at that view.
Children. We have children and we love them. But we would not
bring them here. Lets ask all parents to find a sitter for the night as
well.
These children are corralled in a private room under the watchful eye of Karen's husband.
First Class Service. At my one-year wedding anniversary Karen organized to have my wedding flowers and special personalized menu at our table.
Special table set up for an anniversary? No problem AND right by the window.
Where else do you get this on your table? Girl please
First Class Views. 'Nuff said
NEVER get rid of that view
Water parade from the windows? Don't mind if I do.
Thank you Cali Grill for all the great memories. We love you and we can't wait to visit you again.
*update* - On July 4th a preview of the new Cinderella Christian Louboutin shoe was picked up by WDW. See images below. I'm not sure but this looks a bit like the Mariah Carey version of what Cinderella would wear, no? And in case you were worried, the red sole is there.
*************** (original post)
Word on the street is that Christian Louboutin is partnering with Disney to design a fancy-pants version of the Cinderella glass slipper (read: wicked expensive red-soled shoe) in time for the Cinderella Blu-Ray DVD release this Fall.
No sneak peeks online yet or news on if this shoe will be available to general public. However, a couple of things I am sure of:
1. These will not be walking shoes 2. They will be Oprah expensive 3. I'm predicting they are going to be clear. Or clear with sparkles. Crazy wild guess.
The trick is, how to incorporate the trademark red sole into the design? You know Cinderella followers are purists when it comes to her evening shoe wear.
"My monocle is as big as your shoe!"
I'm thinking any girl getting married at Disney will cut a b**ch in a cage match to get her feet into a pair of these bad boys. Cinderella would have wanted it that way.
My son is at an age now where certain Disney inspired t-shirts cause him to recoil slightly and murmur " mom I can't wear that" while I'm sitting there clapping my hands together like Mrs. Klump telling him how adorable he looks. I get it, he's 11 and I can't have him sporting a Mickey tee with "THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH" in sparkly letters. Nor can I have him grow up so fast that a shirt from his favorite place on earth be contraband forever. He's got to represent when we take our trips there, so what to do.
I just found Crazy Shirts while searching for some newer, less " babyish" ( his words ) Disney tees. Here's their " About Us"
Since the early 60’s, Crazy Shirts has seen the islands change from sleepy to sleek, to isolated and up-to-date. Our little company has grown from one grass shack in Waikiki to a diverse group of 41 unique shops that span the globe. You can find our original T-shirts in your favorite vacation getaways from Hawaii to Florida, in our catalog store and on the World Wide Web.
More than just a summer fad, Crazy Shirts has ridden the wave of success for over 40 years. We continue to honor our island roots as we reach out to new markets around the world. Today you'll still find our flagship store anchoring International Market Place. We're making new friends everywhere we go whether it’s in Hawaii or across the Mainland in Las Vegas, California, South Carolina or Florida
This is a keeper for my son. Perry + the ocean = Love
Shirts range from $18 to $23 for kids and higher for adults shirts. If you have a tween girl then never fear, this site will have shirts for her as well. I plan on buying the Perry shirt above for a secret trip we have planned for next year. It's perfect for WDW or Hawaii, if you're lucky enough to make it there. ** Whisper...my children don't know we're going to Hawaii!!** end whisper.
Check out the entire collection below , and I'll let you know when the shirt arrives and the kind of reaction I got from it. Hopefully it doesn't involve eye rolling and a sigh followed by " mommmmm"
I'm pretty sure it won't.
If you read our posts then you've surely heard us mention our love of character photo opps. Yes our children are usually involved , but what we love even more is when it involves us and ridiculousness.
Case in point below
Seriously...just look at his face
This poor pirate form the Pirate Cruise had the misfortune of docking exactly as our intoxicated party left California Grill after a night of celebrating. We weren't driving so never fear. Another bonus of staying on property.
As we approached him for a photo he looked at us, almost with the same look on his face as above and said in his piratey voice - this is a direct quote I will never forget- " I smellllll Liquor" !
I love him and always will. In our frenzy to get a shot with him, we missed our boat returning to Wilderness Lodge. Davina and I swear the people on board cheered as they pulled away without us.
I swap out my cell phone cases like they are socks and with the prices of most cases ,that can be an expensive habit. I'm positive my habit will only become worse with these new cases being released this Summer from D-Tech, the electronic accessories line at Disney parks.
From the Disney Parks Blog:
“When D-Tech was introduced in November 2010, we started with covers for iPhones,” explained Kevin-Michael. “The iPhone offers two different forms, whereas there are a plethora of Android phones that currently exist. We designed the Android covers based on the five most popular phones in the marketplace.”
So if you have the HTC Droid Incredible 2, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Evo 4G, Samsung Infuse 4G or the Motorola Atrix 4G you are in luck and can pick yourself out a swanky new case from some of the choices below!
Not for iPhone
If you're an iPhone user then here's some great new choices for you. Your iPhone will thank you.
Whatever you do DO NOT let my daughter see this figurine. It may be the cutest thing I have ever seen and I want it. Swarovski has a Spring/ Summer Disney collection just chock full of little beauties like this. Now just one small problem...I can't afford it!
From the Swarovski site they state that" Swarovski and Disney are synonymous with magic and enchantment. Their collaborations are a successful blend of Disney’s icons and Swarovski’s unique crystal. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection once again unveils an eye-catching interpretation of Disney’s universe. A creative twist and strong sense of fashion are certain to attract admirers of Disney as well as crystal fans. The collection explores the dark and edgy as well as the positive vibes of the beloved and charming Disney legendary characters."
As always those wicked villains get a shout out, as they should, with a Heart Sword set from Snow White
So pretty
The Heart Chain set from Sleeping Beauty
Those are some serious earrings
And for the Mickey purists these adorable pendants
Love!
If you would like to donate to the " Get Karen A Crystal Stitch Statue just because she's fantastic" fund please leave a comment below. Or better yet just go to the site and check it our yourself. I cry looking at it sparkly cuteness.
